Objects & Architectural Details: Grace & Geometry
Documenting the hidden textures, hand-carved ornamentation, and timeless engineering of global heritage sites, this portfolio explores historic objects and architectural details across nine nations. Spanning a dedicated 21-year field study from 2004 through 2025, these compositions capture the enduring structural lines found throughout France, Italy, England, Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, and China.
The lens shifts away from sweeping landscapes to isolate the intimate beauty of master craftsmanship: weather-worn ironwork, ancestral stone carvings, classical column fragments, and centuries-old utilitarian objects bathed in soft natural light. By treating small structural elements as monumental fine art sculptures, these minimalist studies offer a highly sophisticated, graphic visual narrative that anchors a space with a deep sense of global history.
Grand-scale prints from this archival collection are held in prestigious private collections around the world. They have been repeatedly acquired by the Ralph Lauren Architecture and Art Acquisition departments for permanent display in their international flagship stores and featured in high-volume limited editions by Restoration Hardware and 1stdibs.
Like all studio photographs, pieces are captured exclusively using master-class Hasselblad equipment. Works can be custom-printed up to grand exhibition scale in color, sepia tone, or black and white via fine art printing suppliers in New York and San Francisco and arrive accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Our studio works directly with architectural firms, art consultants, and luxury design professionals; inquire directly to discuss bespoke dimensions, spatial planning, and trade pricing.
